29. Jimmy J. Jazz - Facecömic: Under construction
(Click the picture to enlarge it and click Esc button on your keyboard to return.)
My friend J-P collects and likes to watch DVD movies. He must have hundreds or thousands of them.
Two years ago J-P had a birthday party. I bought to him a cheap bookshelf from Ikea.
J-P was in trouble. There was no room for my present and for his DVD movies.
So he bought some piece of land and built a house. The project Lallinhäntä costed 500.000 euros.
So, now there is enough room.
J-P said, that my bookshelf was the most money taking present that he has ever received.

15. Jimmy J. Jazz - Facecömic: Emil and October Revolution
(Click the picture to enlarge it and click Esc button on your keyboard to return.)
Emil was born in Jyväskylä, Finland year 1896.
He did army in St. Petersburg, Russia, like all Finnish men did on those days.
Russian October Revolution in 1917 began and the soldiers were left out of food. Emil and some other Finns decided to escape. They left the barracks, passed the border river by swimming and walked through Karelia
Emil's weight was only 35 kilograms, when he got back home. He was engaged with a Finnish woman called Olga. He went to see her.
Olga was quite shocked of Emil's condition and she was scared, that the Russians would take him away and shoot him as a deserter.
"I don't think so, they have so many problems of their own", said Emil.
It started to rain snow.
It was the evening of the 6th of December 1917. Finland got it's indepencence.
To be continued...

13. Jimmy J. Jazz - Facecömic: Because you're unique (the 11th of May, 2011)
(Click the picture to enlarge it and click Esc button on your keyboard to return.)
When you register into any Social Media network, you have to give your personal information, like date of birth.
Big thing? Yes, because it is the only information of you, which doesn't change. Everything else can.
Good, now you can be traced later.
The system starts to analyze more data of you that you can even imagine.
Your physical location can be resolved quite accurately from your IP address.
Everything you write as a status updates or comments will be analyzed and used.
If you try to protect your own data don't worry - if even one of your contacts hasn't protected his or her account, the companies can also get all your personal information without having to ask your permission to it.
After this you start to receive "personal advertisement", which feels like somebody's banging you from back.
If you want to avoid this, confuse them by entering "wrong" information of yourself.
Make youself 20-30 years younger or older and get ready for good laughs!

12. Jimmy J. Jazz - Facecömic: Facebook vs. Twitter vs. LinkedIn (the 4th of May, 2011)
(Click the picture to enlarge it and click Esc button on your keyboard to return.)
The differences between...
1. Facebook's market value is the greatest of these at the monent. Basic idea is to five "Status Updates" of what you are doing at the moment and receive "Comments" and "Likes" from "friends" you are connected to. Some people play games, which are available.
2. Twitter is focused on "micro communication" with 140 character long messages. Some visionary people are using it to build a better world. Only 5 % of my Facebook friends are using it.
3. LinkedIn is ment for the "old hackers", who have been in telecommunication business more than 20-25 years. It's a worklife oriented channel. I think that all of my friends can be found here, even those who say that they hate Social Medias. It's funny how people always start to connect rapidly when they are about to change job.
Which Social Media is best for you? Hard to say. I think that it's a good idea to join them all and give one evening of your life for each media to solve them out.
Even one of them might change your life forever.

Have you ever signed a public address for animals' rights? - "You're not welcome to our company doing business with food industry".
Some pictures of you having Saturday Night Fever with your friends? - "Do you do that also on Tuesdays?". Etc.
One way of getting away of the stupid things you have done is to change your family name, for instance getting married - but if you are having previous work history, your former family name can be traced.
No-one can stop us doing stupid things when we are young. It is called growining and learning.
But what really bothers me is that I cannot remove words I have once written to Internet.
And you cannot.
They might surprise you, when you get older.

#8 Jimmy J. Jazz - Facecömic: Books, comics and movies are parallel universe (the 30th of March, 2011)
(Click the picture to enlarge it and click Esc button on your keyboard to return.)
Have you ever thought, what heroes and losers in books, comics and movies read and dream about?
I have read quite a lot and I've seen some movies, but this has not been explained and I will reveal this secret now.
They read and dream about us: about our every day life. How hard it is for us, and how we handle our lifes and carry on. We all are heroes for them!
Books, comics and movies are parallel universe.
As long as they think about is, we will exist.
Some day they will stop this, and we will all disappear.
#32 Jimmy J. Jazz - Facecömic: SoMe Easter Creatures (the 20th of April, 2011)
(Click the picture to enlarge it and click Esc button on your keyboard to return.)
Some creatures you might run into at easter:
Easter Chicken.
Easter Bunny.
Easter Egg.
Easter Dragon - rarely seen.
#14 Jimmy J. Jazz - Facecömic: Jimmy Maltese and Corto Jazz (the 2nd of March, 2011)
(Click the picture to enlarge it and click Esc button on your keyboard to return.)
In the 1970's Finnish comic book "Nonstop" started to publish Corto Maltese.
Me and my friend even wrote a letter to editing office asking them to stop this and publish more Lucky Luke, but Heikki Kaukoranta and Soile Kaukoranta didn't listen to us.
In the 1980's Corto started to bother me in my daydreams. I read one of his adventures, then I read them all, even the ones I didn't read before. I didn't read Lucky Luke anymore. Corto built me a bridge from childhood to younghood.
I went to see Corto Maltese play on Q-Teatteri yesterday. It was really great to see your hero to become flesh and blood on stage. Small, intimate and excellent!
Corto disappeared in Spanish civil was 1936-1939. Corto is a romantic character, so Hugo Pratt could not let him live in "modern days". Still I think that he died too young.
Don't we all do that in every night of our lifes?
#10 Jimmy J. Jazz - Facecömic: Internet is the supermassive black hole (the 13th of April, 2011)
(Click the picture to enlarge it and click Esc button on your keyboard to return.)
Everything you do or publish can be found in Internet for everyone, and it cannot be removed. This means that any text, pictures, videos, samples - even printed media scanned - can be leaked. I have personally seen this happen.
I posted to Internet News discussion groups some opinions in the 1980's, which have changed or which I'd like to share only with my closest friends nowadays in real-life discussions.
These are all now public readable for anyone, and I cannot remove these.
Seach engine companies like Google and Social Media companies like Facebook get their incomes by selling targeted advertisement to different customers.
The more they know about you the better business it is for them!
Next time you are to publish anything in any media, consider the content twice - and say good bye to it.
You don't own it anymore, but everybody else does.
